The soul of this creation

The pentacle, or pentagram, is a five-pointed star symbolizing the union of the spirit with the natural elements (water, earth, air, and fire) in the greater whole of the universe represented by the circle. When the pentacle is turned upside down, as here, it is considered that the spirit is turned towards the earth, and therefore by extension towards matter, but also, for some, towards what lies beneath the earth... in other words, hell. However, originally, the pentagram, whether inverted or not, was considered a powerful symbol of protection, which was sometimes used by Catholicism to symbolize the five wounds of Christ or the star of Bethlehem. It was only later that the inverted pentacle became associated with Satanism. It is therefore up to each individual to interpret this beautiful symbol according to their own beliefs.
