The triquetra symbolism
The triquetra, also sometimes called the Trinity Knot, is a symbol that has endured through the ages and across civilizations. It was notably used by the Celts, the Vikings, and later by Christians. Its symbolism is rich and has various interpretations.
Generally, the triquetra symbolizes eternity, thanks to its knot with no beginning or end, but it is also often associated with different trinities such as unity, balance, and harmony, or the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. It is also sometimes associated with the natural elements of water, earth, and air, while others see it as a symbol of the interconnection between body, mind, and soul.
Within Christianity, it was naturally linked to the Holy Trinity, while Neopagans associate it with the Triple Goddess.
The amethyst
The amethyst is a stone of spiritual protection and purification. It acts on the crown chakra and the third eye, and promotes meditation. Because of its purifying properties, it is very useful to help create an energetic shield that will protect you from the surrounding negativity. Amethyst stimulates intuition, promotes visions and dreams, so it is recommended for divination and oniromancy, but also to work on increasing psychic abilities, and in particular clairvoyance. On a psychological level, the amethyst helps to calm nervousness, as well as to remain concentrated.

Purification
As part of your esoteric practices, if you wish to purify your necklace, use a rock crystal druse or frankincense or benzoin incense instead. Avoid getting your pendulum necklace wet regularly or submerging it in water, as this may cause the amethyst cabochon to come loose.
