This pentacle pendant is set in the center of a cathedral rose window intertwined with ivy leaves. Inspired by the rose window of Saint-Sever Church in Rouen, this piece exudes mystery with its decidedly Gothic aesthetic.

Gothic cathedral pentacle pendant

The soul of this creation

The pentacle, or pentagram, is a five-pointed star symbolizing the union of the spirit with the natural elements (water, earth, air and fire) in the great whole of the universe represented by the circle. When the pentacle is turned upwards, as it is here, the spirit is considered to be turned towards sky, and therefore, by extension, towards spirituality. In neo-paganism, the pentacle is considered a powerful symbol of protection.

For this pendant, I was inspired by the rose window of Saint-Sever Church in Rouen.
